અગ્નિવીર શું છે?
ભારત સરકાર દ્વારા 2022 માં અગ્નિવીર યોજનાની જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી હતી. આ યોજના હેઠળ ઉમેદવાર ઇન્ડિયન આર્મી, ઇન્ડિયન નેવી અને ઇન્ડિયન એરફોર્સમાં સેવા આપી શકે છે. આ ભરતી આર્મી એક્ટ 1950 આધારિત કરવામાં આવશે. ઇન્ડિયન આર્મી અગ્નિવીર ભરતીમાં પાસ થયેલ ઉમેદવાર ચાર વર્ષ સુધી સેવા આપી શકે છે. ત્યારબાદ ભરતીના 25% ઉમેદવારોને કાયમી કરી દેવામાં આવશે, જ્યારે બાકીના ઉમેદવારને કોઈ પેન્શન મળવા પાત્ર નથી.

અગ્નિપથ યોજના હેઠળ સેવા દરમિયાન અગ્નીવીરને રૂ. ૪૮ લાખનો વીમો તથા સેવાનીધી પેકેજ રૂ. ૧૧ લાખ પણ મળવાપાત્ર છે. દુર્ભાગ્યે, અગ્નિવીર સેવા દરમિયાન શહીદ થાય છે, તો શહીદના પરિવારને રૂ. 1 કરોડ સુધી મળવાપાત્ર છે.
